Time to Chillax

The phrase Dog Days of Summer describes the most oppressive period of summer. And darn, it's hot out! Dog days conjure up heat waves and tall glasses of lemonade. But why are they called the “dog days”? It all starts in the sky...with the annual appearance of the brightest star, Sirius, which is part of the constellation Canis Major (Big Dog). This occurs in mid August, hence the term "dog days". We admit this is a "Pup Piece". We are ok with that, hope you are too. Enjoy a little lightness on these sultry days. These pups show us the way.
